Hi All!

ArtWorks will be closed today Sunday March 14.  We will reopen for our regular hours at 10:00 Monday morning. See you then!

The Mother Goosed art exhibit and auction is in full swing! Please join us in supporting Southport Press by placing a bid on your favorite piece of art. All the participating Mother Goosed artists have generously donated their artwork to benefit Southport Press.  The silent auction continues now through March 13th at ArtWorks gallery, 5002 7th ave. Kenosha WI.

On March 13th ArtWorks will be hosting a closing artists reception from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in conjunction with Kenosha’s “Second Saturdays”. Many artists will be in attendance and refreshments will be served.   Southport Press is a publishing division of Kenosha Community Media, Inc., a non-profit organization, which works to document and share the ideas, interests, and talents of Kenosha area residents.

Please support local artists, come in and bid!

We are hosting the Southport Press Mother Goosed art show.  The opening reception is scheduled from 6-9 tonight!!  Please stop and see the original art, get information about the upcoming mythology project, or just to say hello.  Refreshments will be served!

AND… come get a bidder number and bid on the original art!  There are some fantastic pieces that would look great on your wall!!  All proceeds from the auction benefit Southport Press. The silent auction runs for the duration of the show!

Mother Goosed:

February 7-March 14  Opening Reception (Second Saturday) Feb. 13 6-9 pm.

ArtWorks gallery is proud to host the Mother Goosed art exhibition.  This show features the original artwork used in the creation of the Mother Goosed anthology, as well as other work created by the artists. All of the original art will be offered for sale. All the contributing artists have agreed to donate their art in order to benefit Southport Press. The artists reception is scheduled for Second Saturday Feb.13 from 6:00-9:00

ArtWorks will open at 2:30 and be open until 4:00 on Sunday.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please also note that Tuesday night’s  Figure Drawing is canceled this week, however Wednesday’s Open Art is on!

Hello!  The schedule this week is as follows: M-W 10:00-6:00 Th 10:00-2:00 Closed Friday.

Figure drawing is scheduled from 6:00-8:30 on Tuesday.

No open art this Weds.

Attention!  ArtWorks now carries Golden acrylic paints.  Golden is a fantastic company that manufactures very high quality products.  Each tube has a real paint sample right on the tube, there is no guessing what the paint will look like when it dries!

We have also brought in 3 new Winsor Newton paint brush lines.  We have an economical new line for Acrylics, a synthetic mongoose line, and a fantastic new line of kolinsky sable brushes for water colors.
