Yes,  it is that time!  It is time for ArtWorks 3rd annual “Monster” art show!

The idea of a  “Monster” can be interpreted in many ways.  It is not necessarily a movie villain, it is up to the artists discretion as to what (or whom) the “Monster actually is.

There is a flat $15.00 entry fee per artist.   Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces based on the “Monster theme.

Digital:  send jpegs to gallery@artworkskenosha.com

Drop off:  You can drop off submissions during our regular store hours.  M-F 10-6, Sat. 10-5, Sun. 12-4.   We are located at 5002 7th ave. Kenosha WI 53140

Works will be juried by committee, further information available on request.  Awards are $100 best of show, $50 second place and 2 $25.00 ArtWorks gift certificates for both 3rd place and the “juror’s choice” award.

Important dates:

digital entries are due September 15th (Accepted artists will be notified so that work can be received by Sept. 26th.)

Physical entries are due September 26th

The show opens Saturday October 2nd and runs through November 7th

The Costume party opening artists reception is scheduled for Saturday October 30th! From 6-9 Complete with a fantastic cake, a dance show by Laurenzi Dance and many other surprises!

Come and visit us at stall #10 on Saturday from 9-2  We will be there face painting!    As usual, photographer Joe Barr will also be in the booth!  See you all there!

ArtWorks mezzanine gallery space will be closed for a month for a little sprucing up!  Therefore the gallery schedule is currently being reshuffled!  Stay tuned for the revised 2010 schedule, as well as the 2011 schedule!
